How much does it cost?

 

Dues for incoming players are $1,100

and $950 for returning players.

What if I study abroad?

​

If you decide to study abroad (and we all highly recommend it!) you will still have a spot on the team and dues will be reduced to $650 for that season. 

 

How much do you travel?

​

It depends on the season but between 1-3 times. For the 2019/2020 season we will be traveling once but the 2018/2019 season we traveled 3 times.

Where do you keep equipment?

​

 We don't have a locker room, so you'll keep it in your dorm/apartment. We know this isn't ideal, but it is something we have been trying to improve. Under your bed in your freshman dorm? We've done it. It's not as bad as you think but if necessary we will make accommodations!  

 

Practice?

​

 We have access to two on-campus ice rinks, Joy Burns Arena and Magness Arena and typically practice twice a week at night.  These ice rinks provide convenience to our team and are provided to us at no extra cost.  All full-time DU students also receive free entry into activities such as Drop-In Hockey and Stick and Puck, which is a great way to get some added ice time to your weekly schedule.

How many games in a season?

​

Our season runs from September to the end of February and includes 19-25 games per season. We are not in season during the 6 week winter break at DU. 

 

 Are there tryouts?

Yes, we have try-outs for two days right before the beginning of the season.
